An Overview of 4G
4G is a methodology that links ideas about behaviour and relationships to bottom line performance and costs. Concerning behaviours and relationships, 4G offers three simultaneous insights;
- Understanding individual’s behaviours and personality (Social Profiles)
- The prediction and articulation of relationships (Social Relationships)
- The definition and measurement of culture and values (Social Groups)
The following diagram attempts to capture these ideas and how they link to Individuals, Teams and Culture.
As 4G is able to describe and predict relationships, it is possible to compare these against salary costs. Given that different relationships attract different levels of productivity and require different levels of effort to make them work, via 4G, this seemingly intangible information can then be quantified and costed accordingly.
Linking intangible behaviours and relationships to bottom line costs and financials enables professionals to analyse and optimise their Human Capital with high levels of clarity and effectiveness. The following example demonstrates this for a small team.
